Mr. McGoo...didn't you call me and say that you had just lost $1500 to Mr. Dagley, The Botox Kid, Logan and Capps in some wild stupor on the golf course..and you were afraid that Sue Sue would cut off your...well you know...?

Because if you didn't...then please return my check...and if you can't find it then I might look to your "FRIENDS" and see if they have been hanging around your house when the FED EX guy came around...I sent it last week.

And if you didn't make the call...then you and I are both in trouble because whom ever called me sounded just like you...although it could have been Garry Steel...Yuk...Yuk!!!

KMG...you are too kind...Mr. Hawkins...easy is not strong enough but stupid might be...LOL.

Cheezehead, Ms. KMG, you guys have lost me. What cha talkin' bout? Only money I paid was the $13.00 I gave Botox and Cold Cash Dagley last week at the golf course. Lurker Dagley keeps his stash in the freezer at home. Botox hides his in his socks, along with his golf tees.
To all who have not joined us on a golf course, if I sound like a bragging, vain, flaunting, boastin' old fool, ya gotta be there to enjoy it. There is nothing better than talking trash with someone you once rode bicycles with. When I miss a 3 ft. putt, it's high fives and fist bumps. Nicknames, cold beer, makin' fun of each other, we love it. I hope I'm a mega melon maniac, cause I'll take your $2.00 too. Cheezehead we're coming to see you next spring, better hit some balls........

Instead of catching up on the usual news & political jabber on my way to work this a.m., I listened to XM radio '50s & '60s commercial-free music instead.  Had a nostalgic smile & sung along all the way to work.  Great therapy & I recommend it, as opposed to the alternative.

JD, if you bought that sob story from McGee, then it's obvious that your heart is bigger than your brain. While I have been on the receiving end of your generousity (as have most of our class), I can assure you that I have received nada from Mr. Megalonmaniac. But I've got to give him credit.

KMG...thanks. Pool Guy was able, with your assistance...to drain the deep pockets, you so amply described I had, and left me with nothing. Thanks...what are friends for?

My only concern was that he said the money was for some little old lady in desperate need that lived in McKinney...or Frisco...kinda blond...great smile...bad shot with water gun...nice size _ _ _ _ _ _ _...well never mind. My problem was that he stated I would kinda now her if I saw a picture....and I think he really kept the money for himself. If he did not share with this woman...my suggestion is to yank his chain and make sure she does...if you know who she might be!!!

Don't know...but thanks...so much...for letting him know that I could be had!!!

Don, kudos to your brother Doug on completing his master's degree  particularly under the duress he has been going through with his illness. The silver lining is definitely taking shape. Congratulations.

Robert (Bobby) Jones - After sending you an e-mail via the guestbook, I saw your 2nd post.  It answers the question I had as to whether you were the same guy in that '59-60 Oliver football team photo on the Misc Photos page & you are.

Doug has come a long way during the past year & is doing very well - thanks for asking.  He & his family just returned yesterday from a week-long road trip up to DC & NC, so he's probably dragging 'it' around behind him today.

I hadn't mentioned it to others yet, but this family trip was partly to celebrate the good results of Doug's lab tests & scans, but also for him finishing his on-line Masters Degree program.  I don't know how he managed to focus on all the studying, research, etc., but he pulled it off & I'm very proud of him - not to meniton thankful.

Susan, good to see fresh faces join in. David and Charlotte are great people.

Kathy, I think it's great that you have the job opportunity in a new place but it won't be foreign because you will have family there. Such a deal! I wish you great success. And just like SNL said, we are all only a click away.

SNL, you are finally coming into the stretch on your "move" so hang in there. I feel the same as you about "moving" (it's such an ugly word!) but you are going to have a fabulous finished product to enjoy until you decide to go to the retirement home.

Took me awhile to catch up on reading the GB.    Kathy, I see that you are moving to NM.  It does sound like a great adventure. All the best to you. Where is Rio Rancho in NM?  Being near your kids isn't bad either.  And, you'll have some pretty scenery.

Friday, I have to be at home to have my den floor taken out. Then on another day, I have to be home to have the floor put in and then another day, I have to be home to have the floor stained. SNL, I understand your frustrations.  The company we are using do do our den floor is the 3rd company we've dealt with on this job.  The same with our kitchen -- 3rd company did the granite, and 2nd group of people to rebuild and finish painting our kitchen cabinets.  We've been dealing with this job since March.  We spent part of the weekend moving knick-knacks, furniture, lamps, etc. out of our den into other rooms.  The floor people will move the big stuff.  I don't work on Fridays, but would rather have fun than sitting at the house.

Bobby Jones-- I can tell by your notes you really meat for the posts to be public... but you checked the "private" box on both!  I'm the only person who can log in and see your notes.  I went in and made them public for you.

TNX KMG, Susan, Kathy & Sandy for the nice words, I really wasn't looking for sympathy but appreciate the encouragement!  I absolutely HATE to move!!!   That's why I stay in the same place for so long.  The movers come 8-16 & as you can imagine we're doing our best to move all the little stuff and clothing over there between now and then.  The heat this weekend took it's toll on us.  We were beyond exhausted when we headed home Sun evening.  This is the last move I'm making even if I have to end up crawling up those stairs!!  The next move is going to be to a retirement home!!!

Kathy, it sounds like a great adventure!!  I hope it turns out to be fun & be sure to stay with us via the GB.  Even if your miles away, we're always just a click away!!
