Comments: For a little diversion, ck out the Pride & Joy pg. Today it is back to work! After being off all last week, my calendar says YES . . . but my body says NO!

Comments: Donnie & Barbara have been at Christie's all day since early this morning. Christie is their niece & her son, Taylor, along with his best friend Justin, were the other 2 in the boat with Brandon. A fisherman rescued Justin & Taylor but Brandon has not been seen since swimming away to get help. All of the boy's friends and neighbors have been searching the shoreline since last night along with the authorities but they haven't found him yet. It's like a bad dream and until they can find his body it seems unreal & they keep hoping the nightmare will end. Michael, Brandon's Dad, won't quit looking until he finds his son's body, so Donnie has stayed out there and helped him look. All this afternoon Taylor's friends ( 18 & 19 year old kids) were coming and going. They would search until they were frozen & wet from wading the shoreline, then come back to the house to warm up a few minutes and go back out. Christie's house is only a few blocks from the lake. Barbara said all they need at this time is the prayers from all of their friends to help them, and their son Michael, get through this terrible time. I will let ya'll know as soon as I hear any new info or updates. For now, just pray for them!
Comments: My deepest heart felt sympathy goes out to you Donnie, Barbara and your family. Father God I just ask that you wrap your loving arms around this family and hold them in your perfect peace. Give them strength now and for the days that follow. May they not only feel your love Father but the love of their family and friends.
Comments: I am shocked and heart broken to learn of the tragic loss experienced by my dear friends Barb and Donnie, their son Michael and all of their family. I can only imagine the depth of their grief at this moment. I am praying for you guys, for God's peace to fill your hearts and minds to help you get through this terrible time. Just know that Brandon is now safe in his Father's arms. I love you and hurt for you.
Comments: Words cannot express the sadness in my heart. My prayers and love are being sent to Barbara, Donnie and their family.
Comments: Dear Friends there has been a terrible accident & our friends Donnie & Barbara need your prayers! Their son, Michael, accepted a great job here in the DFW area & he and his son, Brandon, are temporarily living with Donnie & Barbara. Last night Brandon, his cousin & another friends went out to Lake Ray Hubbard to check their trot-line & the small boat capsized!! Brandon was going to swim to shore for help . . . they never saw him again! He apparently drowned!! It was on the 10:00 O'Clock news last night but without any names. They have helicopters out looking but he hasn't been found as of this morning. The other 2 were rescued last night. Donnie, Barbara & Michael are in shock and hurting very badly - Donnie asked for all your prayers to help them keep it together. As you read this, please pray to God to give them strength to make it through this day & each day after! My love & prayers have already gone up.
Comments: KMG - Congratulations to you and your family on the upcoming birth of a new grandone. They are so precious. Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We spent ours at my middle daughter's house in McKinney. Besides all the fixings, they were babysitting 2 border collies for friends, fostering one golden lab and they have one dog. & turtle. So with the adults, kids, dogs, and 1 turtle, we had a full house. Dog crates all over the place. But it was a fun time. Two of my girls then got up at 2:30 am (Black Friday) and went shopping at the Allen Outlet Mall + a few other places until 9 am. I decided that's for the younger set. We spent the night up there so I stayed in the bed. JS - I'm not feeling the "bad turkey energy" yet, but tonight I did get in trouble for taking too long in Target. Maybe it's working on me.Gotta go, watching the OU & OSU game -- high scores.
Comments: KMG....you do have something for which to be grateful.....congratulations! |
