Ada, I'm so sorry the news was not what we all wanted to hear but I'm so glad you found out now and the doctors can take action to correct it. Like Shortcake says, you gotta keep your sense of humor and a positive attitude that will get through this with all your friends and family cheering you on with love, hope and prayers. I love ya, sweetie.

Ada...it is not the end of the world...prayer does work. Love you and wishing you the best.

Ms McMakin...how would an eye doctor help me know who DOC was...I still wouldn't know...

Ada-I am so sorry that you did not get the diagnosis that we definitely wanted.  Having be on the receiving end of that report I can relate and I know that at that point you don't exactly know which direction you are going.

Two things-make your doctors spell out everything to you and keep your appt. on a journal and 2nd - keep you sense of humor - sounds strange-without that I would have gone crazy - & still use it! I'll send you some stuff to read - it helps!

Ada,
Don and I will certainly keep lots of prayers coming your way.  We both certainly know that it is the prayers that will keep you strong.  Sorry the diagnosis wasn't better, but they can do great things with treatments.

Also, we are praying that Rosemary did well through her surgery today.

Ada Ann, I'm so sorry it wasn't the news we had all wanted.  But by finding it early you can kill the cancer before it does damage or gets larger.  Is the surgeon going to remove the mass they found before the radiation/chemo or will they wait until you've finished the treatments?  We are here and yes the prayers will be coming hard and fast.  I love you girlfriend!!!

Well, crap.....I do have cancer of the rectum (is that word allowed?)  I have an appt with a surgeon on Jan 27...with the Lahey Clinic.  I will have to have radiation/chemo.  So keep those prayers flowing and candles burning....Love all of you!

Sandy Mc---I know what you mean about the rivalry---you should see the reaction when I tell people here I'm from Dallas! It's so fun to taunt them about what Big D has that H-Town doesn't, little things like ZONING, a world class airport-------------------------
and a REAL FOOTBALL TEAM! OOOOOOO-WEEEEEEE!
Richard, don't worry about trippin' the light fantastic in Laguna---it's way cool these days!
I think your Elvis show would be a huge hit on the circuit! Heard on the radio that Elvis never did a world tour, and people all over the world are so starving for anything remotely like Elvis, that all those cheezy impersonators are banking big bucks!
Tony, your son's right---you ARE way cool!

Richard, based on the email I received from JD, he must be feeling a lot better, right JD?

Annette, my son has kept me younger than my years too!  He cracks up when I ride in the car with him singing along to "his" favorite tunes....little does he know that "his" tunes are some of "our" old tunes jazzed up a bit.   He thinks I'm really hip (or whatever the word is today) and I'm not telling him otherwise...

Annette, you should probably not talk about your surfing preferences in the same blog as talking about Laguna Beach and the Boom Boom.  One could .....uh, I won't go there.

Sadly, the Boom Boom is closed in Laguna.  It's a quieter block there now with everybody stepping lighter...of course, everybody walks pretty light in Laguna anyway....I won't go there either.

I was really glad to read Ms. Z is doing well...really one of my favorite people and I trust everyone is doing well.

Rosemary, wonderful news!  I will be praying for you and your surgeon tomorrow.  Ada, we're waiting for your good news.  Praying for you too.  May God bless and be with both of you ladies.  Love ya

JD, because you had to ask who Doc was!

Just got back  from a IHG training class in Houston.  Flew Southwest and looked for Jimmy in the cockpit; no such luck.  Best trip to Houston  I have ever had.(not my favorite city)  No offense Annette.

OOOPS---must be the nightcaaaaaap. Sorry for the double post.
Toni---I'm a Butt-Hole Surfer fan from WAYYY back in the day (actually it was my kids who corrupted my taste).
Just ask Richard, I know all about those Laguna Beach "Boom Boom Room" places---those hide-aways---just below his Laguna Beach "Curves" salon. Can't believe it---there's a "Boom Boom Room" here in Houston! Fun town Houston!
How are things in Laguna Richard? I really miss the beach there. Sunsets are paradise. We used to love staying at places right on beach where you could sleep with the sounds of the surf. Unfortunately, Galveston just doesn't compare.
