Comments: Not that I expected to be on the cake list, but if they are all going to be served on the same "unwashed" platter, please skip me! SNL how did you get to work this morning?? Streaker Watts, what is this about you not being at TI any longer?? When did this happen? What's the story?? Poolguy; what course you playing today? Hope you have a late tee time!
Comments: Rick, I'm going to need the red imported cake plate back. Please follow the directions on cleaning the plate. Do not immerse in water are it won't play Felic Cumpleanos anymore and the birthdays for the year have just begun. Are we gonna have to explain anything to Marilyn?
Comments: All this talk of "cake" brings to mind the, uh, "colorful" Eddie Izzard's absurd stand-up routine regarding the Spanish Inquistion. In essence, he is pondering what would happen if the torture victims were given extreme choices to make them confess. Choices like "Tea and Cake or DEATH". Still cracks me up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNjcuZ-LiSY
Comments: It's a cool 24 degrees and slick & sparkling out my window this morning! But the sun is shinning bright & in a few hrs the streets will be fine. McMakin - thanks for the compliment on the trio! Thank goodness they are out of the diaper changing phase!! Did you buy a new bulb for your Easy Bake? Rick & David - You had to go & let the cat outta the bag about the cakes we brought you!! Now all the guys want one!! I don't know about the rest of the girls . . . but I ain't driving to Packerland!DL - I thought Southworth wasn't accepting any more cakes due to a "belt stretching" effect (mainly his) rather than a budget cut! ![]()
Comments: We all need to wake up with a laugh. I had mine this morning. As soon as I got up i turned on the TV to see about the roads. On Fox 4 the newsman said be sure and leave plenty of room between your car and the idiot in front of you. ![]() ![]() Have a great day, stay warm and drive safe if you have to.
Comments: P. S. - Southworth said he wasn't having anymore cake, in view of budget cuts that you didn't as for, so there's an extra one anyway!
Comments: Sandy McM - Am I still stalking you? I wasn't aware that it was so obvious. Now, it's gonna cost you 2 cakes for blurting out our former secret!
Comments: Bobby - I don't recall having met your mom, but offer my sincere condolences for her passing. It sounds like she resembled many of our parents, who made Oak Cliff what it was & a place of fond memories that continues to draw us together. I remember you from school days & our old b&w Oliver football team photo of '59-60, with Charlie Williams sitting between us on the same row. Best regards!
Comments: Linda P - I am a pro at changing youngans. 6 kids of my own i could do it blind folded. The real bad ones I cleaned with the garden hose out side, by mid winter time the smart ones were potty trained.
Comments: Bobby, I am sorry for the loss of your mother. I think that's wonderful that she spent her life in Oak Cliff and was proud of her Oak Cliff roots. SNL, I don't think I ever commented on your precious grandchildren. I know you are so proud of them.
Comments: I just drove home an hour ago. On Cockrell Hill in Duncanville by the baseball field, a car crossing the bridge hit the ice, which was solid and went through a concrete wall. I couldn't even tell what type of car it was. Please pray for whoever was in that car. Don L., I can get myself in trouble all by myself, thank you. Are you still stalking me? ![]() Gary D., to my knowledge your hair has to be at least 6 inches long to do a transplant. Just put it in a pony tell till then. Don't you love those personalized cakes Slicky Ricky? It's the first time I've used my Betty Crocker Oven since Santa delivered it Christmas morning. I did burn my hand, I touch the light bulb.Linda, really ![]()
Comments: Buddy Capps -- All those diaper changes -- what "dirty" thoughts. JD -- if you're streaking in our area, will you stop by the cherry pit and see if it's still in business? I'm afraid to drive by. And it's oh, so close to RW's house.
Comments: I know that some of you knew my mother and I wanted to let you know that she passed away peacefully last Thursday. She was 86 and lived life to the very fullest. She moved to Oak Cliff in 1927, graduated from Sunset in 1940 and lived there until her death. Like all of us, she was very proud of her Oak Cliff roots. Her service was yesterday at Jefferson Blvd. Church of Christ.
Comments: SNL-beautiful kids and not so much babies anymore. As info statistics show a baby needs changing 2788 times a year. Now 3 babies will = 8,364 dirty ones a year. I know life is getting better
Comments: Happy Big Bday Mr. Ricky---knowing how much you love music, here's some fine 50's listening for you to take you back in time. http://joecoon.com/jukebox/index.html |
