Place: NH Comments: Don, thank you. I am not computer savvy!
Place: LV, TX Comments: Ada - Kathy uses Zoom to stay in touch with some of her friends and one of my Dr's uses it for telehealth appointments. It's not complicated. I need to step out for a while, but will check back with you later about setting up a test call.
Place: Edmond Comments: Thank you Carol. I pray all is well with you. ❤️
Place: Overland Park, KS Comments: Paul, you are correct about Ronney - and I think that the sentiment applies to you as well. 💕 Continued good thoughts for all in the SOC ‘66 family. ❤️
Place: NH Comments: Does anyone know how to set up a Zoom meeting? Maybe we can get together on that.
Place: Carthage, texas Comments: As Ronney said Prayers for Sammy and also Ronney and his Family. We were so saddened to hear of Connie’s passing away and Thoughts and Prayers for Ronney and your Family. As well as Sammy and his Family. Take care all and have a safe Thanksgiving.
Place: Edmond Comments: Very classy, Ronney. Going through your own deep waters and still thinking of a struggling friend. Hats off to you, my man.
Place: Allen, TX Comments: Sammy, get well soon. I do not like my good buddy since the 1st grade being ill and having problems. I am thinking of you and praying for you.
Place: The Woodlands, TX Comments: SNL, I just saw your brief comment on Facebook about the McKee's. Catching up here on the Guestbook it is chilling to see the progression of posts from Ronney. In my case, this is the first two folks who've contracted the Coronavirus that I feel a personal (albeit distant) connection to. Up to now the rising toll has just been a statistic on tv. Ronney, words can hardly express how bad I feel for what you and your family must be going through. What a terrible and unexpected loss. Prayers for you all as you move forward.
Place: LV, TX Comments: "Prayer Bears" unite for Sammy & Sarah, as well!
Place: LV, TX Comments: Ronney, On behalf of Kathy and I, we join with others in expressing our deepest sincere condolences. The news of Connie's passing has shocked and saddened us all - certainly none more than you and your family. I scrolled back thru the guestbook and located your initial entry of becoming infected on 10/26, but Connie had tested negative. Then, 2 days later, that all changed, and by 11/3, she'd been hospitalized, but was texting some of our classmates and maintaining a positive attitude. Rather than go on, I decided look for photos on our class website that might help lift our spirits a bit. I hope you and others will view these as a glimpse of what we captured of her in happier times (from our 50th reunion):
Place: Richardson Comments: Sammy isn't going home anytime soon. The blood infection is an ESBL. Say what?? I looked it up and here's the info. "What is an ESBL infection? ESBL stands for extended spectrum beta-lactamase. It's an enzyme found in some strains of bacteria. ESBL-producing bacteria can't be killed by many of the antibiotics that doctors use to treat infections, like penicillins and some cephalosporins. This makes it harder to treat." Dr. said it will be at least Monday before he can go home as he needs to remain on IV anibiotics. Prayers needed as this is serious.
Place: Richardson Comments: Sarah gave an update on Sammy this morning. Rather than paraphrasing it, I'm going to copy & paste it here. Things are looking up for Sammy, prayers are working! "Spoke to Dr Hector (heart). He wants to wait 4-5 weeks before he does the procedure to give Sam's kidneys time to recover. We agreed. Spoke with Dr Armstrong (urologist). He agreed that the stone removal can be done as an out patient. He is going to contact Dr Pearle ( Dallas urologist) to confirm with her. Now just need to get with blood specialist to see how long the antibiotics will be as an IV. If it can be a pill, we could actually be discharged."
Place: Desoto Comments: Sarah, Prayers for you and Sammie You stay strong and get plenty of rest when you can God will take care of Sammie
