Place: Carthage, Texas Comments: Happy Thanksgiving to all and stay safe whether you travel or stay home. Ronney you are and will continue to be in our Thoughts and Prayers.

Place: Richardson Comments: The front that moved thru N TX last night had some high winds and apparently a F1 tornado in Arlington. They showed the damage this morning on the early news. Richard Carter has a home in Arl. but he said on FB it was OK. Of course we have several other people living in Arl. That's where Rick Mitchell lives. Now they just said it has been changed to an F2! Hope Rick & others are OK.
Place: Edmond Comments: Heard about the 🌪. Pray all are well.
Place: Allen, TX Comments: Thanks to all of you for your king, encouraging words.
Place: Allen, TX Comments: Connie's funeral this morning at RestLand went well. Now I need to think about getting my life back together. Lots of decisions to make, but need to give myself about a year before making any major decisions. At this moment, I feel lost. But, my life will come back together.
Place: LV, TX Comments: That's some very good news about Sammy, for a change! Thanks for the uplifter, Sandy, For y'all's information, Ada and I hooked-up on our 1st Zoom video teleconference this evening. I downloaded the app, initiated a video TC invitation, which contains a meeting code & password, and sent it by e-mail. She clicked the e-mail link, entered both codes, joined the meeting, I invited her in, and after a few more clicks to get our audio settings enabled, we could see & chat with each other. Anyone can download the app for free, initiate video TC calls, invite up to 100 participants (the more who join, the 'busier' the host may become), with a time limit of 40 minutes per call (timer starts when initial link is sent to invitees). It's not a mini, but we can BYOB at home ... when the time & mood have improved - just sayin.
Place: Richardson Comments: Some good news for a change . . . Sammy Smith got to go home from the hospital late this afternoon. Will still have to have surgery to remove kidney stone, but that will be later. At least for now they are home and safe!
Place: Richardson Comments: Dana - I knew Donna from SOC. How did you hear about her passing? I always like to confirm the info before adding a classmate to our Memorial page. Last address I had for her was in Houston. Do yo know in what city in NC she lived? I hate to hear of another classmates' passing.
Place: Desoto, Tx Comments: Sandy Lynn, I just discovered my neighborhood friend passed the end of March, in North Carolina Her name was Donna Hutchins She was a graduate of our 1966 SOC class
Place: NH Comments: Don, thank you. I am not computer savvy!
Place: LV, TX Comments: Ada - Kathy uses Zoom to stay in touch with some of her friends and one of my Dr's uses it for telehealth appointments. It's not complicated. I need to step out for a while, but will check back with you later about setting up a test call.
Place: Edmond Comments: Thank you Carol. I pray all is well with you. ❤️
Place: Overland Park, KS Comments: Paul, you are correct about Ronney - and I think that the sentiment applies to you as well. 💕 Continued good thoughts for all in the SOC ‘66 family. ❤️ |
