Oh please Jack - my hair was so wet that if I had a bottle of shampoo with me I could have gone ahead and washed it right there!     I absolutely looked like a "drowned rat".  Obviously you guys just aimed at me and shot.  Toni - what is this "we" you ran into to house and when it looked like someone was going to aim at you - you ducked behind a chair or stayed inside and abandoned us!  shame! shame!

Here is another perfect example of being a gentleman gets me in trouble. I didn't shoot the girls in the head because;
1. I know how much they HATE getting their hair wet!
2. I thought it was impolite to shoot in the face.
Now that doesn't leave many other areas to shoot.
While I was wet from the top of my head to my feet. And I was wearing shorts!
Go ahead with the marsh-mellow guns. What are you going to do when we eat all your ammo??
Wonder if they still sell those ping pong ball guns??

Apparently only 7 of us have great memories of growing up in Oak Cliff... cuz I only got a Top 10 ( or more) List from 7 people!!!!   Thank you to Jack, Toni, Karen Pearson, Rod, Sandra, Donna Rexroat & me for posting a list!   I'm still going to combine them and have a printed list we can look at and have fun remembering together.

....ladies (shh! don't tell Bruce) we'd have a great advantage over the guys if we did use (real) marshmellows next year cuz Bruce would have to stop and tell everyone 10 ways to make something with marshmellows.....could we just find some water-proof clothing and perhaps a clear bucket for my head....you don't want to see me with a wet head!! Do we know any beekeepers??!!

Robert, so sorry to hear about your eye sight.  It's really easy for all of us to take our bodies for granted until we're faced with an issue, but I'm glad you're still able to stay in touch.  Are you still planning to plant a garden this year?

Well there Jack goes again, declaring a victory when he knows there was no way they won!!    I'm surprised he didn't suggest the bulls eye be on the front of the T-shirts as that seems to be where we got hit the most!   Now that I think about it . . .  they don't need a bulls eye - - they seem to hit the target just fine!    McMakin kept asking me why my hair wasn't wet??  Duh, they weren't aiming at my hair!!

You guys should be afraid, very afraid!!  We've all been shopping around for better artillery!!!

McGee is right, Jack. The reason that Toni bailed on us girls was due to the fact that she was wearing white that July 4th day (weak excuse if I ever heard one) so white T-shirts are off limits for uniforms. Shortcake can probably come up with some flak jackets for you guys cause you're gonna need 'em.

Mr Jack, I fully understand the beginnings of this issue...however...it always seems that you, RW, Mr. Dagley and maybe even RN are always getting "OFFERS" of one thing or another from our wonderful women of this class...how do the others men in this class get in on the gifts?

Cheesehead; The "desire" to give Bruce and I something harks back to Gordy's 4th of July party. From somewhere water guns showed up and Gordy sneak attacked the girls who were filling their guns and then quit. Bruce joined me so I wouldn't be alone against the girls. Ever since our VICTORY, the girls have been trying to find a way to have an advantage. In the spirit of such fun, I'm thinking of providing the girls team a uniform for the next meeting. Try as hard as I can, I can not find any of those gymsuits they wore in Jr high (did they still have those at SOC?). I guess I'll just have to settle for white T shirts with some catchy saying on the back. I'm open for suggestions on wording. Be kind, now, no "this side on back" or bulls eyes.

A Belated Happy Birthday to you Sandy Mc! You still look fabulous DAHLING!
BTW, I loved your best memories list. It always gives me chills and thrills to read about our beautiful memories.
Best of all to read about our loved ones who are no longer with us. My favorite spot of all in Oak Cliff was my Grandma Allie Carlton's house on Alaska.
