Comments: Hey Richard - what happened to our chocolate receipe that you were going to get for us? Left us really hungry. We all had to go to Neiman's and eat and by Chocolate Chip cookies by the dozens and put them on JD's credit card.

Comments: Dale, Entendía que casi todo que usted dijo. Cuando usted nos invitará a su rancho.
Comments: Dale, I know what you mean on the firemen. I watch from our backyard as they dumpted that orange bucket of water you're referring to as they fought a blaze down the hill from us....they made short work of it. I also have some remarkable pictures taken from my backyard of the big fire last year that burned many homes.....looks like Hades, but those were several miles away.
Comments: Richard, We ended up having about 145 acres burn. We lost a mile and a half of perimeter fence and about twice that amount of cross fences. The Forestry Service bulldozers entered our place from the South and tore up fences and gates that did not burn but we were glad to see them working at the height of the blaze. That afternoon the wind changed and the fire got to within 50 yards of the house and barn when the Forestry Service helicopter dumped a huge orange bucket of water from Lake Brownwood. Eight volunteer fire trucks followed and hit the hot spots. The helicopter dropped one more load about 100 yards East of the barn and we were in good shape after that. They left a truck at the house all night. The fire flared up about 3:30 AM and they called in help and went back to fighting fire. Those firemen were great. I believe we would have lost house and barn without them. I served as a volunteer fireman for 9 years and our slogan was " Save The Lot !" Those guys out there knew what they were doing.
Comments: I'm glad to see Sir Smiley has recovered from the shock & awe of his ranch blaze (I do hope it was not too serious). Does anyone recall Cinco de Mayo growing up? I don't. In fact, the first I recall hearing of it was when I moved to Calif....20 years ago. Maybe I'm too Irish and focused on St. Patty's Day...or too Texan and focused on San Jacinto Day. At any rate, they can sure crank out the margaritas on this day.
Comments: Hola Ricardo, Como esta frijole? (how you bean) Eso? Si. Que es? (socks) Buncha snowshoes, El Paso amigo y Tommy Lasorda. (?) Buenos noches mi amigo, DWS
