C'mon, no one else can remember these two classmates from Zumwalt & SOC?? Oopps, Jack, is that considered a hint??
Comments: JS, I'm not pasty white, I am "fish belly white" which is entirely different and a bit phosphorescent (glows in the dark). The only thing whiter than that is Jack's legs (which he only unveils on the Fourth of July, thankfully).

Comments: Oh, this is rich ... Karen ("Casper")MD calling ME "pasty white". I do have a bottle of "Man-Tan" left over from 1962. I'll be sure to splash some on the day before the party. It kind of has an orangey tint to it but I'm sure the effect will be flattering. Others have accused me of being an "aquired taste" much like sushi, spinach, or cow eyeballs.
Comments: Rickypoo, you summed it up beautifully. I definitely don't like Conan's humor (or attempted humor) & JS really is an acquired taste. Kinda like fine scotch!

Comments: Just getting caught up after one day away from the GB. Things move fast around here. I think I probably missed some mysterious posts from the sound of it. First of all, Happy Birthday to old friend Eddie Arnold. Hope you and Barbara celebrate it and will make plans to see all the old acquaintances at the Mini on June 13th. Be there or be square. Southworth, not to worry. I don't think Pat was comparing your humor to Conan's humor. I think she was just comparing your pasty white complexions. So you see, there's absolutely nothing about which to be offended.

Personally, I don't like Conan!! He's not Jay Leno & heaven forbid no Johnny Carson!! I had a tear running down my face last Fri night as Leno signed off as it ends a long running era of greatness. I've been there thru Steve Allen, Jack Parr, Johnny & Jay, but Conan can't hold a candle to Johnny or Jay. YOU on the other hand . . . well, you're just off-beat & about 3 steps ahead of all of us! Oh, and about the best friend anyone could have!!  Tell Pat you take offense to that statement as Conan isn't funny!
Comments: Da Bear Golf Club Outing next Friday Indian Creek Golf Course Carrollton. We have 3 slots open if anyone is interested. I have suggested to the 67' group I would bring 3 80 yr. old. ladies from Colonial Lodge Assisted Living to play with them. Our game will be marshaled by Happy Jack Hawkins and Dandy Don Lincoln. Please stay outside the ropes, autograph and photo ops will be available. All bragging, lies, stories, will be shared Sat. at the Mini Party.

Comments: Dare I even ask what the "John Southworth syndrome" is? I'm gonna go out on a limb here and assume it's a GOOD thing. However, a comment on Facebook today has me concerned. One SOCite, who shall remain nameless, (Pat Twiford '65), was going on about how much she likes Conan O'Brien and reported to a friend "if you like John Southworth, you'll like him [him, meaning 'Conan']". The remark deeply concerned me because I view Conan as being possibly the most consistently annoying person in all of TV land. Back to the "JS Syndrome", you guys better hope it ain't contagious because I'm gonna be coughing all over everybody at the DoubleTree next week. Starting with Sandy McM.
