Comments: Sandy McM....how could you say that about the Zummies?! As I recall, you thought I had a pretty good memory...hmm! And after I complimented you so much on your driving skills....I just can't believe it.... ![]() A big hello to Ms. McKee! Welcome to you....you should be in touch with Carol Carpenter who also lives in Kansas! OMG, I would never have guessed Priscilla Gilbert (and didn't) and we were the real shorties in that Lionette lineup! ![]()
Comments: OK, Dale, I don't know any of us Holmes girls that have been called homely -- Sandra, Susan, Ada Ann, Peggy Robertson, Janie Jones, Kathy/Karen Loper, Beverly Brown, Adriane Cain, Lea Worley, Sherry Kanaday, etc. So WATCH IT!!
Comments: Ooh McMakin, you were a little rough on the Zummie crowd weren't you! But I'll hve to admit, since more than half the GB Gang came from Zumwalt rather than BS or OWH, I wd hve thought they wd have guessed it quickly. Especially the Lionettes, as Priscilla was a Lionette with us! Oh well, the contest is over & drink IOUs have been made! ![]() It's going to be a great Party w/big attendance this Saturday!! If you haven't done so already PLEASE make arrrmts to be there! We have lots of SOCites coming frm out of town & several new classmates who've never attended B4! Wearing your name badge wd be a big help, if not, you get a sticky tag! There will be a surprise "Free Gift" for everyone who attended last June's party, free drinks by Jack for winners of the contest, snacks on the tables (chex mix) & a surprise award! If that's not enough to make you wanna be there - - - How 'bout getting to see friends you haven't seen since the Reunion or even longer!! If you need info or directions, em me at my blue em add top right & I'll help you out.
Comments: Sandy Mc, Your dyslexia is showing. I'm sure you meant "We know the Zoomie girls are stacked", and "I think the Homely and Storied decks are a little slow."
Comments: John, that's your grandmother. I've never been hit in the face ![]()
Comments: Holmes or Story...my gosh Ms McM...I've noticed that some of you...especially the Holmes group can't find left from right or front from back...in other words...you can't see good things when it hits you in the face...but of course I'm not talking about you...
Comments: Well, you folks have demonstrated that you're almost incapable of identifying the young girls from way back ... so how about naming this Oak Cliff "celebrity": http://people.consolidated.net/swsw/april1956.gif ps - no drinks or prizes will be rewarded - just the warm glow of basking in the knowledge that you are the smartest of your peers
Comments: You boys of 66 maybe interested in this tidbit of info. Direct deposit with monthly installments or now available at a low interest rate on the fiance of your golf gambling debt to the 67ers. Kinda like when VP Bidden said Friday we only lost 350,000 jobs last month and unemployment is only 9.2% and the State Media praised him in the Eco turn around. You too boys of 66 can take the lose (gambling debt) and put a happy face on it (with low interest rates) just like the VP. Sorry Professor no out of town checks please
Comments: Had it been a Holmes or Storey student, I'm sure we would have guessed it a lot sooner. We know the Zoomies are a little slow.
Comments: To let you know about Charlene's Dad's arrangements - - There wasn't an obit in the paper Sat or Sun. I cld McGee tda & he told me her Dad's name is Charles Collins & they will have visitation tonight btwn 6-8 at Restland. Will be a small service tmo (Jun 8) at Restland, but he will not be buried there. Will have private graveside services - Family Only- at different cemetery where his wife is buried. Our thoughts & prayers are with you both!
Comments: Dale - thx for the kind words, looking forward to seeing you. Sandy Mc - We had very good day Saturday. Was able to raise the most $ yet. Thank you for asking. Jack and Glynda and Lonnie Harmon('64) thanks for coming by. Looking forward to all next weekend.
Comments: Dale - Did you by any chance drink the water out there when they told you not too? I am sure that they have something you can take to reverse the damages or most of them anyway.
Comments: Yes, we have a winner, well 2 winners! Shortly after midnight Gary Dagley sent em & named the 2nd girl as Priscila Gilbert! Now, I don't know if Dagley & Smiley were talking late last night, but just before midnight Dale sent em naming Priscilla as well. Of course Dale named Terry right off the bat, but he had already won previously. KMD also knew it was Terry, but she too had previously won. The 3rd and only other person naming Terry was Annette Forston. So that makes Annette a winner & Gary a winner!! Finally . . .!!!
Comments: Sandra/ Sandy, I'm not sure how you found out about it , but they gave my mom a small plaque, a trophy, a new car and a large check for agreeing to carry what was , then, expected to be the most wonderful child ever conceived. We have tried to keep this quiet so don't tell anyone. I coached in Cedar hill from 1972 to 1976. I then served as an Elementary principal from '76 till '80. Every year we would have a fund raiser sponsored by the Booster Club. It was called "Cow Bingo" At half time of the Homecoming game they would divide the entire field into 26 boxes with a letter in each box. Patrons would buy tickets and select which letter they favored. A cow was turned loose on the field and which ever lettered block it chose to drop it's load on was the winner. All supporters having chosen that block would win the advertised prize. (Usually something donated but still pretty neat) So, yes, we did have cows on the field during my coaching era. DWS
Comments: Dale, did you coach in Cedar Hill when there were cows still on the field? What year was that? |
