I know she will be a great success.Kathy, I will be thinking positive thoughts and prayers as your daughter has her surgery today. My heart and prayers are with all our classmates and also their families who are battling illnesses. Our class is a tough and determined and supportive group and I am grateful and proud to be a part of it. Yes, SNL. Mike and I went to the inaugural game last Friday night. We actually got there at 3:00 p.m. and tailgated until gametime. Mike likes to be early to get a good parking place (sheesh!). Unfortunately, the seats in the stands are not cushioned and they are a bit narrow. But it is quite a place and the big screens are ridiculous big. The sound system needs work as announcements over the PA sound like the Peanuts gang waa-waa-waahing instead of actual words. I think it has something to do with all the glass in there but they are supposed to be working on it. We saw Paul McCartney there on Wednesday night and he sounded great but he had his own sound system. I can't believe his voice still sounds so good. It was a great show with 2 encores.

Happy Jack, thanks for talking to Bruce yesterday. You made his afternoon! He's serious about the tourney. Richard, great story about Stevie Wonder....fell for it - hook, line and stinker!! Old Sky Hag....you can run into Shortcake and Cubby in just about any town you might find yourself....they've become the All American Travelers!! We would too if we had that rolling mansion! Kathy, when do we get the details on the B&B??? Prayers continue for all friends in ill-health....condolences to Sue Sue McGee as well.
Comments: Ada Ann, as Pres of the KickA** Club you certainly know how to put up a good fight & to encourage others! I love you & you & the others are in my prayers daily. As a reminder, our grp needs to continue to pray for Ada Ann, Donna, Dane, Charles & our extended family Doug (Don's bro) Bill (Jeanne's hsbd) & Shannon (Kathy's dtr). With all the distance between us we need to stay in touch via this GB, pho calls, cards & emails. Oh, KarenMD - Did you & Mike attend the inaugural gala at Cowboys Stadium Fri nite?? Tell me, how were those cushioned seats? The 'Boys did us proud Fri. Going to be a great season!!!!

Sue Sue, 40 years to that smooth talking Sandy Joe.....congrats to the both of you. Don, Doug is always in my prayers....it is an ugly battle, but we are going to win. I'm going for my 5th treatment today...couldn't do it last week due to low white blood count. Donna, you are in my prayers...hang in there girl and fight the battle with us. I love all of you.

All - My brother, Doug, is doing pretty well, but chemo is really draining him. 3 down, 3 to go & #4 coming up this Tue. Thank you the g/b notes & personal e-mails - very sustaining.

Comments: Greetings everyone... have not been on the GB in a long time... Shortcake just read your blog about being in Taos... we were there the very same day... had breakfast at Michael's... that's not the scary part... two days before I was trying to come up with your name... your married name that is! We had gone to Red River for 8 days with my cousin and her husband... he is the Chaplin for the Benbrook Fire station or stations... I think if I remember correctly your husband is a fireman some where in that area and you work there also... I could be making this all up... any way I would have really freaked if I had run into you. We also went to Angel Fire and saw the Vietnam Memorial... that was so touching... thought of the classmates we lost and also the many that served.
