Smiley, I see you've broken out some old copies of "Boys Life" again.  How's this; when asked if they'd have sex with Bill Clinton, 86% of the women in Washington said, "not again".

I thought I should pass along this warning:

If you get an e-mail telling you not to eat canned ham due to the swine flu it should be disregarded,

 It's just SPAM.

Get well Soon, Bill!!
I just spoke with Bovie. Seems he has a broken shaft. He is looking in to the cost of having his fixed or just replacing it. While he considered lengthening it while it was being fixed or getting a longer one if he replaced it, he decided he is happy with this length and would just stay where he is. Said even if it improved the game it might not be worth the hassle of getting use to at this point. Don't know what caused the break, if it was from past misuse or stressed or just worn out. He's had a lot of fun with it and is not sure what he'll do while it's out of commission. He did say he thought Sandy Joe has a spare he might be able to borrow. That is true friendship!

Jeanne - so sorry to hear about Bill - you guys are in my prayers.

As you can see I am back in TEXAS!!!!  Sure wish I could have brought the 45 degree weather with me.  Setting around the campfire every night was absolutely fantastic and I have to admit that looking at the mountains did not hurt any either.

I went on a 180 mile motorcycle ride through the New Mexico mountains on Sunday with a bunch of our friends. Bobby stayed at the RV and watched Nascar races-said that it was the most quiet that he had had in a long time  I will get even for that!

See you guys later.

Jeanne -- So sorry to hear about Bill.  I pray that he continues to do well and makes a full recovery.

Girls from the Brunch Hour -- I had a great time seeing you girls last Saturday, and getting to visit with everyone on a different venue from the mini. Us girls looked pretty sassy.

Toni,
Wasn't that a HOOT! So beautifully arranged! We happened to be headed into the area which grows almost all of the fruit and vegetables for Panama. Yes, we think we have found the right place, with coffee plants for personal production, too.
Karen, we'll have to have another GNO. There's no way to tell all of the funny stories on the GB. Let's just say that we Texas ladies will not soon be forgotten!

Sorry to have missed the GNO brunch.  I know it was great!

Kathy Orr...two questions for you...just how much fruit was in the back of that truck, and did you find the perfect location for your B&B?

Any word on your bro, Don?  I'll be in touch with you regarding the birthday list.

SNL, I need to speak with you.

Mr. Fugate, I hope you have a great turnout for the golf tournament and you raise a lot of money for this worthwhile project.

Kathy, can we get a little more detail on your Panama trip than that? Please, we want to live vicariously through the undoubtedly adventurous, fun-filled details of your trip.

Attn Military Vets:

Our SOC vets' website is currently experiencing technical difficulties.  The link will not open the home page, but instead, displays: "Error 404 - Not Found" - translation: "Yep, it's FUBAR alright".

Our webmaster, JD, is currently on business travel & will be unable to attend to this issue til he returns on 8/29.  So, please be patient for the next coupla weeks while we await tech assist.

In the meanwhile, I was contacted by a 'new' vet from our class, Donnie Fox.  He actually reported the website issue to me on Sat.  I've asked him to e-mail his military service info so I can at least update our roster.
