Comments: Yes a fine time was had on the links. Butterfingers picked out a course knowing my weakness of not being able to keep the ball on the fairway. This place had about 2 feet of rough and then these tall ugly sorta sunflower looking plants, But they weren"t sunflowers. Somebody said they looked like Maryjane plants. Being the straight-laced, law abiding boy I am, I wouldn't know. After that I did notice one of our group sniffing, pulling off leaves and shaking seeds into his hand and putting it all in his pocket. Anyway by the time we made the clubhouse turn I was almost out of balls, so I stopped in the pro-shop and bought a dozen to see me through. Now here is what I've been getting to. On the 18th tee box, Botox came over and told me I should not have bought those balls. They overcharge at the pro shop. And in a most magnanimous gesture, he very carefully pulled out a white bag and handed it to me. He gave me his balls. He said they were old and he didn't use them anymore. He said he thought they were still good and hoped I would enjoy them. What a guy!!
Comments: Kid- I think Rosco McGee and Happy Jack are out of pocket today. Last word they were headed to 4415 San Jacinto St Down Town D to get advice on 3rd Q taxes coming up. Something about digging dry holes in back yards on Rosco's side and Happy Jack opening up a new Hooters for Deni st only to increase cash flow without paying taxes. 4415 San Jacinto St Dallas "ACORN" 8 billion bucks of stimulus tax payers dollars hard at work.
Comments: Happy Jack Jayhawk Hawkins and Mike "Black Jack" Bolton, Hope you had as much fun as I did Playin Wed. with McGee "the Rodeo Clown" in his loud shorts along with Big Man Baywatch Capps crushing the ball,,Hard course...you hit some good shots...It was a pleasure. See ya'll on the greens soon....Bovie CF
Comments: Happy belated birthday to Donna Riley Pratley. Hope it was fun. Loved the 9/11 tribute on the GB. Good job as usual, SNL. We are flying our flags at half mast at work today. God bless the families who lost loved ones and also those who managed to survive the ordeal. My thoughts are with them today.
Comments: Sandy, Thank you for thinking of us. The bells were tolling this morning in my neighborhood, making me very sad but. . . No better place to live though (except maybe Chicago).
Comments: Thanks for a great home page, SNL!! I posted the Oct. gathering on classmates and contacted some "new" members there. OK, all of you who are planning on playing or attending the BMF Tournament on Oct 2nd, how about going to the website and signing up NOW? You don't have to pay right now (but you can if you want to) the dead line is Sept. 25th, but I'm sure Don and Barbara would like to get a head count and a feel for the turn-out. What could be better than spending a October Friday afternoon, outside with SOCites and friends?
Comments: Raining here as well, Sandy. My flag will go out also, weather permitting later today.... Beautifully written, may none of us ever forget! Hope that you have all had a safe and fun-filled summer!!
Comments: Amen, Sandy....God Bless them all.
Comments: I'm waiting for the heavy rain to end so I can put my flag out this mrng. As the pictures depict on our front pg . . . Let us never forget the horrendous assault America suffered 8 yrs ago this mrng! May God Bless the people of New York & all the many families who suffered the loss of loved ones on this tragic day. God Bless the USA & may we each do what we can to support her & what she stands for!
Comments: Gosh! All this fuss! I saw those shorts on Rush Limbaugh and they looked pretty cute! Hideous, but cute!
Comments: In a normal year we may have one;maybe two cases of misappropriation of funds by the school bookkeeper, treasurer of booster club or youth orgs. Nationally, our average invoice is $2K. California is $9K. It's nothing to have Cal invoices for $40 -$60K per account. This year, so far we have been advised by school auditors, presidents of booster clubs and Gym Owners of 150 cases where the money in the cheer and dance accounts are not accounted for. I have dealt with town sheriffs and the California D.A.'S office providing proof of delivery and copies of invoices and any email correspondence. Our sales reps send me newspaper clippings almost weekly of arrests due to embezzlement and theft. Guess it's the economy and temptation with all the cash involved.
Comments: Dandy Don L., are you saying as I walk down the fairway in my Loud Mouth Golf Slacks at the golf tourney, I should not walk backwards? The Botox Kid and Bay Watch always told me the glare of the sun hurt their eyes.
Comments: The Dragnet boys put Obama back to school !!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m4r6YCUtxfs

Comments: That settles it Susan, after what Don L said, cancel my order for those GOLF Pants. |
