Happy New Year to everyone. I wish good health and prosperity to all in this difficult economic time.
Surprisingly, I've had a good year in the pool business. I assume perfecting the art of cheating on the golf course has increased my bottom line.
Taking $2.00 from your best friends, you gotta love it!

Dearest Ms. Mc, Please allow me to enlighten you about highway driving. Many drivers (mostly those who do not regularly drive the highways) have no idea that the "rules" and etiquette and quiet different than city driving. There are, generally, three types of highway drivers. Good Drivers drive in the right or center lane(if there are 3 lanes), maintain a speed, pull into the left (passing lane) only to pass and then return to the right lane. Maniacs drive at high rates of speed, weave in and out of traffic, tailgate and drive without regard to their and others safety. Idiots, generally, drive as if they are afraid to be on the road. They drive in the left lane always, forcing others to pass them on the right, drive slower than other traffic, often don't know where they are or where they are going, don't pay attention to road or warning signs, wait until the last minute to exit the road or merge into a single lane and are a hazard to navigation.

Buddy, I still visualize Coach Hitt & Coach Ground as still young and handsome.  I must let my sister know of the pictures as Coach Hitt was one of her favorites! Thanks for the info !

Alas, it was too warm for anything to stick!  It started snowing about 4:00 & continued until well after dark, but temps were in upper 30s & low 40s.  Just a wet soggy day.

SNL, we got snow over here starting about 3:00 p.m.  It's still coming down, but not as heavy as what we got last week and it probably won't stick.  We just got back from dinner ... perfect weather for Mexican food!

Is everyone back from Christmas with the family!!  Hope all had a good Christmas & getting ready for a New Year.  2010 . . .  does that sound odd to anyone else??

Did any one get any "unusual" or "interesting" gifts for Christmas?

I'm sitting here looking out the big picture window in my ofc watching it rain, what happened to the snow we were supossed to get!! I was so hoping it wd snow agn, but at 40 degrees still too warm.

JD - Here we are with 1 game left to play this season & the Cowboys & Packers are both 10-5!!  Do me a favor & beat AZ as that will help us.  Chicago did their part last night by defeating Minn in overtime!  This last game means a lot to so many. as it can be the diff in whether they go to the playoffs, win their div title, get a wild card slot or go home with nothing!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to y'all out there.  I've been having issues logging in at my daily location, so I'll try here.  I've just about dug out here in VA.  My brother Bob, who lives near Austin, invited me to a snow fight the other day.  However, with 20 to 24 inches of snow on the ground in my yard, I doubt he was ready for the 50.4 million four inch snow balls at my disposal.  The snow was bad enough that I missed several days of work due to road conditions.  We expect more snow this weekend.   I tried posting pictures, but no joy.

Buddy, I believe you about the ball. The Kid wouldn't do that (besides he can't kick that good) to me. Fingers said you did it, so I should have known you didn't. Fingers probably aimed for the woods, but with his slippy fingers it went in the water.
Now you being in the hill country I doubt that the way you reported it is the way you heard it. Only goat ropers and maggies refer to THE University as tu. Glad to hear you got a few holes in and got to spend time with the family. It is hard to believe that all those good looking people in the picture are kin to you!

Boude Storey guys and gals-I had lunch the week before Christmas with Coach Hitt and Coach Grounds of Boude Storey. Hitt is 80 going strong and golfing, soon with me, just retired from the Cowboys as a scout. Grounds is 90 and still rides a bike going strong. We had the lunch at Sammy Maddox's (Kimball 66) place of bizznes at Red Bird Ind Park. When one of my computer whiz kids come over to my house I will have them post some pictures of some of the boys from Storey with their icon Coaches.

Happy Jack-I promise I did not kick your ball in the water hazard it was Fingers or The Kid. Just got back from the hill country (Austin), a little golf with family over the holidays. Nothing but slop to slop golf on the hills and BAD LIES. Good thing I was't drinking. All I heard was TU this TU that. As for Tech, Yes sh-t kickers in Cowboy hats and a lot of'em. Pick up trucks with racks of rifles in the rear windows with a friendly HOWDY wave. Tech bucks the US trend with professor 80% Conservative, just the opposite of today's universities, no change of days past a good place to send your kids to school. All in the past now but framed in time was being on a team with  back-to-back W's over TU.

I agree with the Snowman, the Bagerities, the Longhornies and the RED RAIDERS we love'em all. Jackie pooh the budman will back those Horns 100% when they win another National Title Over Bama. Now can the Boys take the prize over Phili ? Snowman I never had a harmful bone in my body unless they had the wrong colors on game day, like Philly green, or burnt orange, and today's plaid girlie pants on the golf course like Butterfingers McGee.

Snowman, I was not and am not offended by remarks made. I enjoy the intercollegiate rivalries and bantering about such. Jousting and ribbing is FUN and part of our history. Wilbur goes by so many nicknames I thought you were him and replied in kind. Our friend, Mr Capps,  is a force to be reckoned with, but fear him not. He's too big a person to let a little ribbing get the better of him.
OK SNL, so noted!

My dear friend, Mr. Hawkins, please be kind and gentle to our friend Mr. Capps...If I remember...he was no underachiever when at SOC...and besides...it was Texas that lost to TT...maybe not so much TT winning.

But then again, Mr. Capps, and I use the term Mr. very fondly as he could easily KICK my a_ _ any time...and he is a good ole boy!

Please my friend, don't be offended no one put down your Mighty Longhorns...even my Badgers and Wildcats envy such a tradition!!!
