Comments: SOC news alert: GLOBAL COOLING, GLOBAL COOLING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it is snowing in North Texas for the 2nd time this winter. This is proof of global cooling. SNL what's the inside story on the 63 site change?? Did their host all of a sudden go belly-up and leave them homeless??
Comments: ATTENTION - It appears after the GB went down & came backup a quirk has happened! It is asking for you to type in the weird looking character verification before it will let your post appear. I did not enable that option! I will t/w them as soon as they open & see what has happened . In the mean time, you'll have to type the code to be able to post. Snow is coming down hard now. It's so pretty I'm going to have a hard time working today, I just want to look at my window!
Comments: Sandy, the snow is beautiful......now, only if I were at home to really enjoy it.
Comments: Happy Jack, as Al Gore drives the Belt Way this week in D.C., does he wonder if we will continue to believe his Global Warming story? If he would pop his head out of the Limo, he would find out.
Comments: Oh my gosh!!! Got up this mrng to snow all over the ground, trees & shrubs!!! Beautiful. It's still coming down but it's 34* here in Richardson so it may not stay too long. We had snow Christmas Eve but nothing like this. About 2" on ground now & snow still falling. Yes, for those inquiring minds that want to know . . . the GB went down about 2 hrs last night, it wasn't your computer!
Comments: Sally, it warms up here to when it snows too! (?!?) It's called a fireplace!!! ![]() We have coyotes in our neighborhood during the summer months. We've had about 3 or 4 walk across our backyard and driveway as though they were on a Sunday stroll! As long as they keep on going and not make the mistake of stopping to visit my cavaliers! I heard a report on the radio this morning about the coyote epidemic in this area. Seems they are everywhere!
Comments: Richard, I thought you were going to say the room was filled with a lot of wild jack a**es. There are many of those here also. We get out of work at three today--SNOW finally. Yes, I walk unless it is too rainy. It is actually warm when it snows--just barely freezing usually. We are like a bunch of kids waiting for Santa. We do need Dale and Yuvonne. I think there is a pack of coyotes in Central Park but not sure where they live.
Comments: Cougers in DeSoto? Did someone let McMakin & Linda P. out again!! ![]() Skip - I'm still looking for a response to my email.
Comments: What a bunch of wussies! We've had confirmed couger sightings in DeSoto, and I see bobcats often while doing phone repair in Duncanville. Those Easterners need to come visit out West!
Comments: Speaking of Bob Cats, I was in my drive way on Monday at 7 PM when a very large Bob Cat ran the length of the drive way about 15 feet from it and then into the woods. He looked at me but didn't appear afraid.
Comments: Sally, you may want to recommend to the city of NYC they bring the Smiley's up there for a few days. From what Dale says, Dead-eye Yuvonne will clear those critters out in no time. By the way, those aren't the only vicious creatures in NYC; my last presentation to bankers clearly included an entire room full of jackals.
Comments: Sally, I was thinking about you & wondering if you are still walking to your job there at Columbia? How do you manage during these bad winters?? Burrrr! I see coyotes running across the fields when I drive to the grocery store & we have a family of hawks that stay on our street & sit in my tree all the time, BUT in NYC!! Wonder how they got there & where they came from?Toni - You gotta ck-in more often girl. The roses were a few days ago, now we got candy hearts! ther'll be a final one Sat.KarenMD, your G-dtrs are beautiful & Luke is just so cute! I've seen your dtr & she looks just like YOU & so does Kira! Ya'll cd do one of those commercials where it shows 3 generations & asks "Do you know which is the G-mom, the mom & the dtr???" I think it's an old Dove comm.
Comments: Happy Birthday Jedi Bob!! Hope you and Eva had a great celebration. JD, good to hear the update on Ryan. Our little Hudson is progressing and is a little over 7 lbs. now! Everyone is talking about liking the roses...I'm seeing little hearts which say We (heart) SOC! Nice touch. Who ordered this weather? We had to break down and purchase an electric blanket! Brrr! Karen, what beautiful grandones you have!
Comments: Happy Birthday Bobby. Hope it was fun. Sally, that's really unusual to see coyotes in NYC. I have seen them running across the road late at night, their pointy ears looking just like Wiley Coyote. There was a bobcat found basking by the backyard pool of a Plano resident last year that required animal services to capture and remove.

Comments: You think you live in a wild place. Our doorman told me tonight that we have raccoons in our courtyard ( in the back of the building) AND a friend told me in the elevator that there are hawks on the fire escape on the other side of the building --we see a pair of doves but they are not dangerous but this is something else! . . . This is literally across the street Look at this! http://abclocal.go.com/wabc/story?section=news/local&id=7263558 |
