I'm sure Karen RL is out chasing glaciers or river rafting and may not have wifi access - BUT, if you do drop in on the guestbook please accept my envious best birthday wishes for you!

H a p p y  B i t h d a y wishes go out to Karen Reynolds 'Shortcake' Louton, today!  Shortcake – Hope this finds you kicked back & allowing all your personal servants to bring you wine & cake throughout the day – 1 candle at a time, of course, so they’ll lose track & you won’t need a permit from the fire dept for a ‘controlled burn’.  Best wishes today & for many more happy ones in the future!

I'd like to wish Karen Reynolds Louton aka Shortcake, a Very Happy Birthday today!!  It seems kinda appropriate that her b-day is seven - eleven!  She actually worked for 7-11 at one time & she's always a glitzy risk-taker!  So, seven-come-eleven . . .  Happy B-day shorcake!!

Sandy Mc, here's an idea...let Happy Jack explain it to him!!   What a guy!

Jack, thanks for asking but I'm sorry to say that after more than 700 games since last Sunday, due to excessive rain, the AAYBA World Series had to be cancelled.  My grandson's team, the 11U North Texas Outlaws, was 1-2-1 when the series was cancelled...bummer!  I sure hope the mother from the Alvin Express team is doing better.  She and three other people were responsible for softening the fall for the firefighter who fell off the upper deck at the Rangers baseball game on Tuesday night.  She has a huge bruise on her upper thigh.  There were a ton of people from the AAYBA World Series in attendance who witnessed that fall - what a wild night that was!

I'm looking forward to spending next week with my two older grandsons.  They are spending the entire week and I am certain they will wear me completely out but it will be fun having them here.    We have a fun-filled week planned with or without rain!

Happy Birthday Karen Louton....have a great one!

Ms. Mc, I thought it was a well known fact that the maximum time a normal person would be productive is 10 hours at a time. Findings show that work done in the last two hours of a 12 hour shift often are incorrect and must be re-worked. More errors occur, lower attention to detail and less observation takes place. When I was in manufacturing we learned to limit our shifts to a 10 hour maximum. We only exceeded a 8 hour work day for rush orders or to meet deadlines, but even then it was a strict 10 hour rule. With that our re-work/warranty work dropped off sharply. Hope you were not doing payroll the last two hours!!
Toni, your team still in the "series"???

12 hour work days are just too long for a 62 year young person!!!!

Well, I must have done something write, Barb, cause it wouldn't let me vote again.   Folks, it only takes a minute to go to this website and vote...you can spare a minute.... and then take another minute and post it on your facebook, email it to your friends; how simple is that?!!?

Rusty Powers dad is in VA Hospital with some health problems.  It was posted on our churches prayernet yesterday.

SNL...thanks for posting the picture!  Sandy Mc, he is growing like a weed!   You'd never know he was a preemie.  He has now discovered his voice...and he is so comical...it sounds like he is about to break out in song each time he opens his mouth!

Don/Barb...I've gone on the BMF Project website two separate times to vote...each time it messed up and posted something I did not understand.   I know you click on the vote button and enter the info...which I did ....twice!  Just wanted you to know!

Everybody grab your socks! The "deficit commission" has come out with its' first recommendation to reduce the debt. A 1% transactional tax. That is a 1% tax anytime any money is moved. Even if you withdraw your money from the bank or ATM machine, deposit money, write a check or pay with a credit card, there will be a 1% tax on it. They are saying that all the poor folks (those making less than $250,000 a year) will get a rebate of the charges. My bet is they will propose a tax "credit" as the rebate. I doubt, if this goes through, they will be sending out checks. I like too how we are now divided into two groups being split at the $250,00 mark. Goodbye middle class. You are now either rich or poor!

To all that went to the link to vote for The BMF Project, we thank you.  Now I want to ask another favor. We have found that numerous people went to the site and clicked on something other than voting. They clicked on "like" or "support" so they did not actually vote. If you went to the link would you please go again and verify that you voted. If you voted, it will not let you vote again for the same charity.  We just need to get into the top 200 to get a piece of the pie.

Again, thanks for your support. We love you guys.
