What guy could resist such offers from lovely ladies? Girls, if you want me that bad, I'm yours!! You do have to agree to play faster this year. lots of talk about the time it took to finish last year, so we have to pick up the pace. Dale you and Y going to be able to come up for the BMF this year? Ladies if Y and Kathy are available you could have an all girl foursome!! I would hate to loose my curb service and $5.32

Yes and No SNL,  this trip was VAC. went to the Russell family reunion at Battle Ground State Park in Wa. Flew into Portland Or.
and drove to the reunion. Mom's family is from Wa. I saw family I never met before. The Battle Ground State Park is a great place to camp out. They have tent camping and small cabins to rent.
There is also one hotel in Battle Ground not far from the park.
We drove to cousin"s and Aunt's houses after the reunion to
visit more. Wish I hadn't forgotten my GPS, it would have been better than following hand written instructions. Turn left at Millers barn just doesn't cut it if you don't know farmer Miller.

Don L., I'm blown away by your great news about brother Doug. God is great! Will keep the prayers going for him and all the family.

Rick, I'm sure that you reported your "windfall" (that you found in your truck) to the IRS.

Happy Jack, have your compadres come up with a better offer?

Susan, last time I t/w him was the evening of 7-23.  He's dng "OK" but has lots of issues he has to deal with & it's very stressful for him.   First of all it was an independent contractor that ran the red light & hit him, not a City truck!  He has a lawyer & trying to get some reinbursement for all his out of pocket expenses.  It totaled his Jeep & it wasn't an ordinary Jeep.  It was a very rare one & he had fully restored it!!  He was just finishing up PT but now has to have a lot of dental work done & tooth implants to the tune of abt $12K!!  The impact actually jarred several of his teeth loose!  He sd btwn Ins Co, Atty, Dentist, PT & not remembering sh**, he's rather stressed!

Toni, that's funny , what happened when you stomped on your brakes.  I bought a used truck once, when I started cleaning the interior I found $12.87 under the seats and a wrist watch.
I am back from Vancouver, Washington now. The temp was 55*
in the morning and warmed up to 63* by 2pm. that's quite a
difference from Texas but I'm still glad to be home.

Don L - What wonderful news regarding your brother Doug!!!  EXCELLENT!!  Will keep him & family in prayers for continued improvement & regaining his strength, weight & hair!

JD - We're not gng to actually eat at 4:30!   But when you have a crowd of people it takes time to get a tally, travel to the restaurant & get seated.  Now stop stirring up trouble or I'll make sure you do get the Sr menu next time!

We received some very good news from my brother, Doug, over the weekend.  His wife, Susan, posted a note on CaringBridge.org - excerpt follows:

"We were in San Antonio for his 100 day check up last week.  His results were very good, he is in 100% remission and has the best results expected from the chemo treatment.  This is such a blessing!!!! I thank all of you for your continued prayers and ask that you remember us going forward.  We will be returning to San Antonio in 3 months for PET snd CT scans and will have scheduled scans for many years.  Doug is still trying to gain weight, he needs approx. 15 to 20 pounds to be at his normal weight and waiting for his hair to come back."

I don't think the news could be much better.  Our sincere thanks to all you 'Prayer Bears' who helped keep up the vigil, as well as kind words from many others along the way.
