Comments: Richard - that was a very interesting story. Not sure how you come across such odd stories, but I really liked this one!
Comments: Pretty remarkable person on this link; http://www.nytimes.com/2010/09/22/world/europe/22nearne.html?pagewanted=1&ref=obituaries
Comments: I noticed that as I'm typing my post, Cap't Smiley is typing an apology at the same time!! Yuvonne, you have taught the boy well. Jerry- your new bundle of joy, Max, is precious! You may have gotten a late start, but you're gaining ground quickly! 4 and the 5th on the way . . . !
Comments: Hmmm, I don't speak Pirate talk & after Smiley's last post ... I think i'll just say "Check out the Pride & Joy pg, we got another Grandone!" We've had an explosion of Grandones lately & several more due soon. Aren't Grandones wonderful!! ![]()
Comments: I'm sorry , Sandy, but they tempted me. DWS
Comments: Typical pirate walks into a bar. Bartender says " Man, you've had it rough by the looks of you". Pirate says Arrr, got this peg leg from a cannonball smashing me leg." Bartender says " How about the hook?" Twas in a sword fight where another pirate cut off me hand but I ran him through wif me sword and got my revenge!" Bought this shiny hook in China. Bartender says "and the eye patch?" Pirate says "I was out on the deck one fine day and I looked up to see the Jolly Roger flying in the breeze when a dang sea gull pooped in me eye. Bartender says " and it got infected and you lost the eye?" Pirate says " Infected? Naaaargh, It was the first day I had me hook."
Comments: Rod - Not to worry about e-mail addresses. I'll send you some 'guy stuff' & you can pick-off most of the ones you were sending to. Between SOC guys & my Coasty connections, my inbox runneth over every day!
Comments: Besides the obvious attributes of this class, we also have some real comedians. I sort of hate to admit it but I can follow Dale's humor, and that kinda bothers me. I've never seen any of the 4 of them live but watch every time I see they are on TV. The jokes might be the same but they are still funny.
Comments: We hit the Comedy Store on occasion. I saw Foxworthy live in his early career when the whole redneck approach was new.....quite good. By the way, if you keep bringing up jokes, you're just going to encourage Smiley....and that's a whole difference act. Now we just sit around and wait for Annette (little "a" I guess) to make a comeback appearance.
Comments: I agree Richard but there are some who still enjoy them. Actually I used to get Foxworthy's calender and send out his Redneck of the day jokes, but I got tired of them and they didn't seem as funny so I stopped, I just couldn't come up with a new name for it.
Comments: Rod, offering redneck jokes to this bunch is fairly redundant. (that's a redneck joke)
Comments: Yes I am really living in Oregon and for those who don't know, I am from Oregon, so I am home. Thanks for the anniversary wishes, I still don't know why Linda has put up with me but am glad she has. We had a great visit with Barb & Don, it was a good time but never got close to covering all 44 years since I left Texas. We did fly through DFW when we went to Mexico in '96 but we barely hit the ground when we had to leave again. I do have a favor to ask for those who used to receive the Redneck jokes from me, and anyone else who would like the jokes that I receive. I lost my address book when my computer reacted badly to a Microsoft Update, so I have no e-mail addresses from any of you so if you would like to start getting the jokes again please e-mail me so I will have your e-mail address again, otherwise I can't send them to you.
Comments: Even though Rod Savage has been illusive for more than 40 yrs, Donnie & Barb managed to capture him in a photo when they left the restaurant. Ck out the Misc Photos pg to confirm Rod really is living in OR!
Comments: Good to hear from you, Robert. You better start bringing in the fire wood. That is quiet a website. Congrats JD, you lucky stiff!!! Hard to believe anybody put up with you for 4 years, much less 41. Special Congrats to Kathy. I talked over your offer with the team and we are not willing to wear Green Bay anything or even green and gold for the BMF Tourney in return for your sponsorship. You might try providing drinks for the Pool Guy team, (I understand they are planing to meet at a bar and "drive" down together) but it will probably be MORE expensive than the cost of sponsorship.
Comments: Happy birthday to Roe; hope that you had a wonderful day. AND, Happy anniversary to JD & Kathy and many more. Good pic of the Savages and Fugates; looks a little cooler up there than here in the metroplex. |
