OK, which one of you wise acres popped off and got the guest book shut down this time??
Round up all the usual suspects, turn on the spotlight and break out the rubber hoses.
The beatings will continue until the attitude improves!!!

Well Tommy.... you had just about sucked me in.  Then I read the finish!    I'm with you on this one!  Our friends are just going to have to accept us the way we are, cause I doubt any of us can change now!  I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm too lazy to start looking for new friends at this stage in life!   So I guess we're all stuck with one another . . .  for better or for worse!!

Merry Christmas to all my onery ol' friends!!!  May we all have many more to celebrate together!!

Yes, I know. I should have typed "you two" instead of "you too". Sorry Ada Ann and please don't tell your mom, the school teacher.

Happy Anniversary Jada!!!

Thanks for the update, John. I was beginning to think you had gone a trip, the batteries in your GSP died and you were lost.

I thought "Worth Dying For" was Dale's memoirs of dating and being married to Y!

We spent the wkend in Hstn visiting w/Don's mom & his brother James & family. It was actually cold down there too!  Had to wear a jacket if outside.

Bro James is doing so much better. Not able to return to work for quiet a while, as full recovery is slow, but he is recovering.  Thank all of you so much for the many prayers when he was so ill.

Ada Ann - A very Happy Anniversary to you & Joe.  40 yrs yesterday . . .  wow!  Where has the time gone?  Seems only a few yrs ago you & Joe and me & ? were celebrating New Years Eve at the lake with a camp fire roasting wieners & marshmallows!!  Remember . . . ?    Give Joe my best, love you guys!

Don L....have you enjoyed a little too much of that lightly colored adult beverage or what?  Oh well....happy anniversary to Ada and Joe Wingate....40 short years today!  She claims he is still putting up with her after all this time but I think he's definitely the lucky one!

JD....your little (Ha!Ha!) message was so funny because it is so true about most of us (myself excluded of course..lol).  Bruce was in stitches as I read it to him while he was preparing breakfast for us!   Gotta run...breakfast is ready!

Thanks to everyone for the Christmas cards!  We really enjoyed them!

Christmas Greetings to the good folks of the Class of '66!

I've been layin' low (from ragging on you guys) since I picked up a metal detector in early September. It's been great fun trying to liberate a 100 yr. old coin from the Texas soil.

Then as an adjunct hobby I drifted into "geocaching". Kind of a high-tech treasure hunt in which you use a GPS receiver to hunt down hidden caches. Turns out they're almost everywhere.

This morning I had the pleasure of breakfast with Smiley who was briefly in town taking a break from his ranching duties. He loaned me a book worth dying for.

Let me restate that: He loaned me a book - "Worth Dying For" ... the latest Lee Child adventures of Jack Reacher. I'm set for some cozy holiday reading.
