To All our ‘66er’s:
Today as Randall and I toured and visited southern California area of Costa Mesa, Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, we could not help but think of Our dear classmate and friend Richard Nance who is no longer with us. Missing our precious friend. We pray his girls and their families are doing well.
As happy for our friends Susan and Paul!

I am so happy for Susan. After a hospital stay not NEARLY as long as hers, I know she must be feeling like she is back to living a REAL life. Way.to.go.Susan!

More great news about another good friend and SOC '66er.  Paul Scholte just got back the best test results since he was diagnosed with cancer more than 2 years ago!  His percentages on the bad stuff have gone way down and it's looking good.  Not 100% cancer-free yet, but oh so close!

Time to celebrate Paul's great improvement and Susan coming home! Yea!!!  [love] [thumb]

She's finally home after just over 14 months!  She came home yesterday, 10-20-21, and has Dr appt. today.  So happy for her as it's been a long hard road.  She sounded great and of course very happy!

I thought we were on the road to recovery in June but, that proved wrong and another uptick went thru .  I personally know 6 SOCites who had Covid-19.  3 died and 3 recovered without hospitalization. You never know how it will affect each person.

Will keep hope high that this spring will be great and we can all see each other again!!!

Thanks Sandy. I think we are getting closer to “that special time,” as long as the virus doesn't throw us another curve. ⚾️

My gosh Paul, y'all get a lot of BAD weather in and around OKCY!  Nothing like being awakened by the piercing sound of sirens and your phone alerting you to a possible tornado!!  My nephew moved from here to OKCY 3 years ago for a job and he is always describing the hail & tornado events.

Stay safe as you can and one day (soon I hope) we can meet again, eat at El Fenix and enjoy our friendship once again.  Geez, I long for the days of Mini Get-Togethers with hugs and laughter.

Count me in. Have gotten the booster and flu shot. On another note, woke up this morning to the sound of our phones blasting out a tornado warning. It stayed south of us over downtown and the state capitol. Once it gets light we will see about damage.

I got my flu shot 2 weeks ago at CVS and last week my booster at CVS too.  It makes me feel so much better knowing I'm better protected.

We are in Port Aransas for the week.  It is Sand Fest here and lots of people are coming to see all of the sand sculptures being built.  Just praying for no rain here.

we got our booster shots before we left Kerrville.  No reactions to it.  Got them at HEB.  Got our flu shots a couple of weeks ago.  Everyone needs to get their shots.  It might not stop you from catching anything but it should be milder!  If for some reason you do not get your shots then stay at home away from others.

Our only anniv for Oct., for now at least:

H a p p y  47th n r ato Roe & Carolyn Burrow, married Oct. 4th,1974!  Roe – Interesting note from your g/b post awhile back, 10/4/10: “Hi Y’all ... it dawned on me today is our anniversary, 36 yrs with the same old woman.  It’s not easy being married to Carolyn ... I need a special award for lifetime achievement, medal of honor, etc.”

That tractor accident several years ago - was that Carolyn’s way of saying, “There’s your medal!” - ?  Major c
ongrats to both of you and best wishes for many more to come!
