Had a really great time at the GNO last night - well with the exception of some lady, and I use that term loosely, calling me names because I got a parking spot that she was nowhere near and she wanted it!!!!    She got one right accross from me - don't know what her problem was - but Toni and I did tell her that we can read lips!!!  - I don't even have a dog!!!

H a p p y  B i t h d a y !!! wishes go out to John Southworth, our most senior citizen & guest book visitor from class of ‘63, on 3/24!  John – We hope you had a great day of male spoilage, being waited on hand & foot – or at least not having to walk very far to wait on yourself, in case Dru missed her cue.  Very best wishes & many happy returns!

H a p p y 31st  n r s ay !!! to Rick & Brenda Mitchell, married 3/24/80.  Rick said: “We went downtown to the Dallas County Clerk’s office to get the license.  I recall saying, “We've already paid to park, why not go to the basement and find a JP”?  The rest is history.”  We congratulate you 2 love birds & send our very best wishes for many more celebrations!

Ms. Shortcake, good luck with the knee procedure. Been there, done that twice. You will be able to dunk a basketball and touch a goal post by July. Take lots of meds, the pain is worth the gain.

Mike and I are back from Houston where we enjoyed a great adoption party for our grandones Eli and Gabriel yesterday. Miles of smiles all around.

Happy belated anniversary to Rick and Marilyn. Thank goodness one of you can remember it. Alvin and Diane, may you have many years of wedded bliss. You are one of the few people who left Vegas a winner!

Shortcake, I'm glad you're getting that bum knee fixed. The recuperation will be worth it. And you can milk it to get "Cubby" to do everything for you. Now that's the ticket.

Yes folks, I did indeed make the plunge a second time. Diane and I had been contemplating when and how for some time. My niece was going to get married in Vegas, so Diane and I decided that was just as good a time as any. So last wednesday upon arrival in Las Vegas we picked up our marriage certificate and went to the Little White Chapel and had the drive through ceremony. By the way my niece's ceremony was At the Viva Las Vegas Chapel and an Elvis impersonator performed her ceremony, really a fun wedding. Thanks for all the congrats.

Happy Anniversary Rick and Mar!!!  Rick, I hope it is the plant that gets planted and she doesn't plant you. Best Wishes to Alvin and Diane. Bring her to the gathering, Alvin. We can tell her all about you!! At least you 45 years ago.  KRL, Winnsboro?? I know Bobby pinches pennies, but has he got you going to a Vet?? Now don't sass the doctor, mind the nurses and faithfully do your rehab. Come see us when the grumpy part is over. I think that is why we haven't seen the Pool Guy yet.

Thank you Don L and everyone for the good wishes. Yesterday Mare called me at work and said "Do you know what day this is"
Well when that happens I get worried. Think now, what day is it I said to myself. Before I could respond, she told me. Now I'm thinking, am I in trouble. Well I guess after 43 years of marriage
she has learned that I'm just gonna forget. She's not mad but on the way home, I stopped at the Farmers Market in Dallas and bought her a Mandevilla plant. There is a nursery near the market and the prices seem to be good.

Where to start?
Shortcake - You do what the Drs say & don't try to do things too early.  Our bodies take a little longer to heal these days!  Will keep you in my thoughts & prayers for a successful surgery on that pesky knee!  Do keep us posted.  Since surgery is in Winnsboro, I guess you'll be recuperating at your lake house?

Rick & Marilyn - A very Happy Anniversary to you!!!  43yrs on 3-22!  Wow!  '68 was a very good yr.  I know there are at least 3 SOC couples & I'm thinking more, who married in '68 & are still married.  (Don & Barb, Rick & Marilyn, Jimmie & Karen)

Alvin - I'm so happy you two love birds are married!  Congratulations my friend!!

Just heard on radio . . . Liz Taylor has passed away.  Now there's an icon from our time.
